Stanford cancels in-person classes over coronavirus concerns

STANFORD – In an effort to slow the spread of COVID-19 and ease community concerns over the potentially deadly respiratory disease, Stanford University is canceling in-person classes for the final two weeks of the winter quarter, starting Monday.
The university is also calling off the in-person Admit Weekend event for prospective undergraduates who have been or will be offered admission to Stanford, scheduled for April 23-26.
