Speedway motorcycle racing is coming to Perris

While it doesn’t seem like 20 years or so, but speedway motorcycle racing was big (rather, huge) in Southern California. There were weekly shows at Costa Mesa, San Bernardino, Ventura and Victorville. Championships were decided at Veterans Stadium in Long Beach, a competition for limited spots in the World Championship qualifying rounds between the U.S.-based riders and Americans racing overseas.
Those days will be recalled Dec. 8 with the return of the AMA/FIM North America
