Sparks put emphasis on championship experience in 2019 WNBA Draft
In their quest to get back to championship-level basketball, the Sparks turned to someone with some very recent championship experience in the first round of Wednesday’s WNBA Draft.
The Sparks selected Baylor center Kalani Brown with the No. 7 overall pick on Wednesday. Brown was picked to the All-Final Four team after scoring 20 points and grabbing 13 rebounds in the Bears’ national championship victory over Notre Dame on Sunday.
