Sparks guard Te’a Cooper making her mark as a rookie

The thing about the WNBA is, it’s really hard to make it in the league.
There are only 12 teams and 12 spots on each roster, so only 144 women can claim to be WNBA players at any given time. There are no reserve players, no developmental league like in the NBA for players to wait for their call-up.
So when a second-round pick doesn’t make the roster out of training camp, there’s a possibility her chance at the WNBA dream is over.
