Sparks extend Sydney Wiese’s contract through 2022

Sydney Wiese scored zero points in just 36 total minutes of action two years ago, her second season with the L.A. Sparks.
Last summer, the spirited, 6-foot guard started 16 of 32 games and chipped in with 4.8 points and 1.8 assists per game.
On Friday, when the WNBA season would have started if not delayed indefinitely by the coronavirus pandemic, the Sparks announced they’d signed Wiese to a contract extension through 2022.
