Southbound 15 Freeway through Cajon Pass reopens with CHP escorts

Snow closed the 15 Freeway through the Cajon Pass early Thursday morning, Dec. 26, as a powerful winter storm churned through the area, but just after 9 a.m. Caltrans reopened the southbound lanes with CHP escorts
The 15 Freeway, a major commuter and commerce route, was closed northbound at Cleghorn Road. Several other Inland-area roadways were shut down because of weather as well, and all vehicles in the mountains are required to have chains on their tires, Caltrans said.
