South Bay school closures: Here’s which districts are shutting down amid coronavirus concerns

School districts throughout the South Bay are considering whether to close to prevent the spread of the new coronavirus.
Public schools, for the most part, remained open as of early Friday, March 13. But after the Friday morning announcement that the state’s two largest school districts, Los Angeles Unified and San Diego Unified, would close for two weeks, other districts, including Long Beach Unified, began to follow suit.
