Some DMV offices are open again for certain transactions

As California slowly reopens, the Department of Motor Vehicles is in the first wave.
It swung open the doors of 25 of its 195 field offices on Friday, May 8, for those with appointments or particular transactions that require in-office visits.
The DMV shut its offices down six weeks ago, and now will reopen them in phases during the coming weeks.
On Friday, social distancing and masks were reminders that life has changed.
