Small plane crashes on I-405 freeway at MacArthur, catches fire, injuries unkown

A small, twin-engine plane landed on the I-405 freeway at MacArthur Boulevard Friday morning, June 30, according to the California Highway Patrol Log.
The CHP couldn’t immediately be reached for comment. John Way Airport tweeted it was a Cessna 310 that landed on the freeway, short of the runway. The CHP got the call at 9:36 a.m.
The airfield is closed to arrivals and check airlines for arrival information.
According to the log, the plane became “fully engulfed.”
