Small field for Villa Park elections, but it could expand

It was a small field as of Monday, Aug. 13, for three Villa Park City Council spots.
But, with incumbent Bill Nelson not filing for re-election, the deadline has been extended through Aug. 15. Given that two other potential candidates had filed, but not yet qualified — including incumbent Mayor Robert Collacott — it’s likely the list will grow.
