Slow start dooms Long Beach State in lopsided loss at Stanford
STANFORD — A Long Beach State men’s basketball team that is still trying to blend nine newcomers, including six freshmen, into a cohesive unit ran into a buzzsaw on Tuesday night.
Jaiden Delaire and Tyrell Terry each had 14 points and Oscar da Silva added 12 points and seven rebounds as Stanford built a 25-point halftime lead and cruised to an 86-58 victory over Long Beach at Maples Pavilion.
