Skyline fire in Corona prompts evacuations

Firefighters were extinguishing a brush fire near a popular hiking area in Corona that prompted evacuations on Thursday, Aug. 13.
The Skyline fire was burning near Foothill Parkway and Skyline Drive in the area of Skyline Trail on the edge of the Cleveland National Forest. About 25 acres had burned as of 6:15 p.m., Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department said.
