Skirball fire in LA 100 percent contained

The Skirball fire, which burned 422 acres in west Los Angeles, was declared 100 percent contained at 6 p.m. Friday, Dec. 15, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The fire, which broke out Dec. 6, was caused by an illegal cooking fire at a homeless encampment, authorities said Tuesday, Dec. 12. By Wednesday evening, containment lines had been established around 93 percent of the fire, Cal Fire officials said.
