Six Flags-Cedar Fair theme park merger appears dead: ‘There is no bid’

A $4 billion merger between the two largest regional theme park players in the United States appears to be dead, but Six Flags left the door open to “attractive opportunities” for industry consolidation with rivals such as Cedar Fair.
“There is no bid for any company that’s out there,” Six Flags CEO Jim Reid-Anderson said Wednesday, Oct. 23, on CNBC. “We’re not in the process of negotiating anything.”
