Residents and business operators near the Seal Beach Naval Weapons Station are likely to hear gunfire Thursday morning, Aug. 29. That’s when the Weapons Station plans to begin a series of security boat exercises in Anaheim Bay.
Thursday’s hour-long exercise, scheduled to start sometime between 9 and 11 a.m., will include less than two minutes of gunfire simulations, with weapons firing small amounts of blank ammunition, spokesman Gregg Smith said in an announcement Monday.
