Silverado fire doesn’t grow overnight, with firefighters reaching 40% containment

Continuing the gains from the day before, firefighters on Thursday morning, Oct. 29, have now stopped the Silverado fire at 40 percent of its perimeter.
The acreage the three-day blaze has torn through was holding at 13,390 acres, according to Cal Fire.
