Silfverberg gives Ducks shootout win over Islanders

UNIONDALE, N.Y. — Ryan Getzlaf couldn’t start the Ducks’ game Saturday against the New York Islanders, Rickard Rakell couldn’t finish it, and Jakob Silfverberg couldn’t speak about it afterward. Illness and injury did to the Ducks what the Islanders couldn’t do at Nassau Coliseum.
The Ducks were battered, bruised and with several other players “coughing up a lung,” as coach Dallas Eakins phrased it, but they weren’t beaten after taking a 6-5
