Should schools use affirmative action?
Last week, the Trump administration rescinded a package of Obama-era guidance letters encouraging schools to use race as a factor in student admissions.
The seven letters, issued by the Justice and Education Departments between 2011 and 2016, promoted affirmative action as a means of ensuring diversity in educational institutions and provided advice for how schools could legally use race as a factor for admissions.
