Shorthanded Sparks make late push, but lose to Aces

The Las Vegas Aces fended off the shorthanded Sparks 86-82 in a back-and-forth affair on Friday in the WNBA bubble in Brandenton, Florida.
The Sparks were without six-time All-Star Nneka Ogwumike, who was out with a minor hamstring injury, but Candace Parker and Chelsea Gray offered their typically stout production and Sydney Wiese did her best to fill in as an honorary member of the Sparks’ big three with a season-high 18 points.
But that wasn’t enough against the Aces, who were led
