Shorthanded Sparks can’t stop Aces down the stretch

The Las Vegas Aces left the Sparks frustrated Friday, fending off Derek Fisher’s shorthanded squad, 86-82, in a back-and-forth affair in the WNBA bubble in Brandenton, Florida.
The Sparks missed veterans Nneka Ogwumike, who was nursing a minor hamstring injury, and Seimone Augustus, who alerted the coaching staff as the game was starting that she wasn’t 100%.
And although Candace Parker and Chelsea Gray offered their typically stout production and Sydney Wiese did her best to fill in
