Short-rest heroics not in Dodgers’ plan for Kershaw in NLDS

DENVER — The Dodgers are hoping they don’t need a hero this October.
Manager Dave Roberts would not reveal the Dodgers’ playoff rotation beyond Clayton Kershaw in Game 1 on Friday. But he said he has talked with each of the potential starters.
With Kershaw, Roberts said that conversation involved telling the left-hander he will not be asked to pitch on short rest in the NL Division Series.
