Shohei Ohtani finishes first half on a high note

HOUSTON — Exactly two months into his season, Shohei Ohtani has shown Brad Ausmus something he didn’t expect.
“He’s probably exceeded my expectations in terms of hitting,” Ausmus said. “Not the power, but the ability to have good at-bats and get hits. He’s probably exceeded what I thought.”
