Sheriff’s deputies have space to work in Ladera Ranch

Orange County Sheriff’s Department deputies now have a place in Ladera Ranch to call home.
About two dozen deputies are assigned to patrol the unincorporated south county, from Ladera Ranch to Trabuco Canyon. Some of those deputies had to drive 20 to 30 minutes to Saddleback Station in Lake Forest to file reports and other paperwork, South Patrol Bureau Director Lt. Mark Gonzales said.
The new office cuts driving time for the deputies and lets more officers stay in the area, Gonzales said.
