School layoffs dropped from hundreds to only a few

Most of the pink slips handed out by school districts in Anaheim and Santa Ana have been rescinded or the teachers were hired back. The number of planned layoffs in two of the largest school districts in Orange County dropped precipitously by the time classes started this month.
