Santa Ana detectives investigating shooting death

Santa Ana police on Thursday were investigating the shooting death of a man found with gunshot wounds Wednesday night, April 10.
Officers found him wounded in the upper torso after receiving an 8:17 p.m. call about the shooting in the 1700 block of West 9th Street, Santa Ana police said.
He was taken to a hospital, where he was admitted for emergency surgery but died shortly before 11 p.m.
A witness saw the gunman flee the scene on foot.
