San Marino Elementary to be Centralia School District’s first AVID school

More than 250 students at Buena Park’s San Marino Elementary School will soon begin preparing for college and a career.
Next month, the Centralia School District, which serves approximately 4,500 Anaheim, Buena Park and La Palma children, launches its first Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID) program, at San Marino, a K-6 with about 600 students.
All third, fourth, fifth and sixth graders will participate.
