San Clemente prepares for possible beach closures

The signs are posted and the fences are ready to block access – if the orders come that beaches should be shut down.
If you took a stroll or went out for a surf on Tuesday,  March 31, you may have noticed chain fences near beach access points, like on stairs or pathways leading to the beach, with “Beach Access Closed” signs.
While they were not yet blocking people from doing their daily exercises, the city is getting ready to shut down if needed.
