San Clemente finds its groove in second half, picks up triumph over Tesoro

SAN CLEMENTE – A strong second half propelled No. 7 San Clemente to a 30-14 win over No. 15 Tesoro in a South Coast League game Friday at San Clemente High.
The Tritons trailed 14-13 at halftime and it was the first time they have trailed at the half this season. Before heading to the locker room, San Clemente coach Jaime Ortiz huddled the team together on the sidelines.
“I just told them that’s not how we play Triton football,” Ortiz said. “Second half we played we
