Rowland Heights brush fire contained, evacuations lifted

Dozens of firefighters and two helicopters rushed to combat a brush fire in Rowland Heights on Sunday, June 30; and some homes were temporarily evacuated as a precaution.
The blaze was first spotted at about 5 p.m. near the intersection of Old Ranch Ravine Road and Desire Avenue, Los Angeles County Fire Department Dispatch Supervisor Michael Pittman said.
