Roads in Dana Point Lantern District reopened after bomb scare

DANA POINT  Roadways in the city’s Lantern District have been reopened following a closure earlier Sunday, Aug. 6, when an Orange County Sheriff’s Department bomb squad was sent to check on possibly hazardous devices found during a domestic violence call, police said.
“The hazardous material turned out not to be an illegal bomb,” said Lt. Steve Gil. “The items were not determined to be a threat to the neighborhood.”
