Review: Asian Kitchen opens a door into the not-so-distant past

Fans of classic American Chinese food have a new place to eat in Laguna Niguel. The owners recently decamped from The Little Kitchen in Dana Point to open a place of their own called the Asian Kitchen. The menu is very similar to the Little Kitchen’s, a retrospective survey of Chinese food in America from the 1960s to the early 2000s: kung pao beef, sweet-and-sour pork, orange chicken and egg rolls served with spicy mustard.
