Report: Anthony Davis turns down max offer from Lakers and will enter free agency

Since before he was traded to the Lakers, Anthony Davis and his camp have made one thing clear: He’s entering free agency this summer.
Another step toward that process came Tuesday morning, as Davis turned down a four-year, $146 million max extension offered by the Lakers, according to Yahoo Sports. The procedural move sets up Davis, 26, to be an unrestricted free agent in July when he could receive a five-year deal worth an estimated $202 million.
