Repeat DUI driver gets prison for fatal wrong-way crash on the 5 Freeway

A repeat DUI offender was sentenced Friday to 22-years-to-life in prison for a wrong-way crash on a freeway in Tustin that killed another driver.
An Orange County Superior Court jury late last year found Ivan Gonzalez, 31, guilty of second-degree murder for the death of 33-year-old Michael Johnston Jr. in a crash that also left a female passenger in Johnston’s vehicle seriously injured.
