Referendum on housing at Sully-Miller quarry has enough signatures to move forward

Enough petition signatures have been verified to put the future of a 128-home housing development in east Orange on the ballot, officials said Wednesday, Jan. 15.
Residents in December had delivered more than 13,200 signatures to Orange City Hall for verification by city and county officials. About 7,000 signatures were required for the referendum to move forward.
