Ready to learn, Tustin students head back to school

Thousands of Tustin Unified School District students faced the reality this week that summer vacation is over and it is time to get back to their books.
Schools started classes on Tuesday, Aug. 13, for some 23,400 students.
At Guin Foss Elementary, Principal Ray Hernandez was out front welcoming the young learners on the first day of school. That included incoming kindergartners in the district’s new full-day program that is being offered on all elementary campuses.
