Rams safety John Johnson is latest starter placed on injured reserve

THOUSAND OAKS — The Rams’ injury problems worsened Wednesday when team announced safety John Johnson needs surgery on his right shoulder and is going on injured reserve, meaning he’s lost for at least eight weeks but probably the rest of the season.
Johnson was hurt in the Rams’ loss to the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday, their third straight defeat, dropping their record to 3-3.
