Quiksilver issues statement on CEO who is missing at sea; memorials pending

Pierre Agnes spent his career as an “ambassador, visionary and icon,” helping to build Quiksilver into an industry leader.
Huntington Beach-based Quiksilver and its umbrella brand, Boardriders Inc., both led by Agnes as CEO, issued a statement Friday, Feb. 2, about its leader who was lost at sea in rough waters while on a boat trip off the coast of France. His vessel was found Tuesday, Jan. 30, stranded on a remote beach, Agnes no where to be found.
