The idea of an ice hotel might conjure pictures of a series of interconnected igloos, or rooms with austere angles formed from shimmery translucent bricks, an exotic sleepy retreat nestled north in Scandanavian lapland where, after a few shots of Absolut to warm the blood, you hunker down and somehow survive death-inducing temperatures.
