Pomona hires San Clemente city manager as its next top executive

James Makshanoff, currently the city manager of San Clemente, has been chosen as Pomona’s next top executive.
After a national search that attracted more than 30 applicants, Makshanoff is expected to be appointed city manager at the City Council meeting Monday, Dec. 16.
If his contract is approved, Makshanoff will receive a salary of $275,000.
