Police: SUV runs red slight, slams into patrol car

An SUV slammed into a police cruiser after running a red light in Fountain Valley early Sunday, sending the driver and a police officer to the hospital.
The Fountain Valley officer escaped the crash with minor injuries, police said in a statement. The SUV driver was not injured.
