Placentia’s new fire department takes step forward with Fullerton aid agreement

Placentia officials have secured the first of several aid agreements that would allow their new fire department to cooperate with agencies in neighboring cities, but they’re still hoping to get others in place as close as possible to the department’s July 1 start date.
In the face of stiff opposition from their city’s firefighters union, the Fullerton City Council opted last week to sign an automatic aid agreement with Placentia’s new Fire and Life Safety Department.
But
