Placentia asks community to help design patch for new fire department

As part of preparations for launching a new city fire department next year, Placentia officials are inviting the public to help create the uniform patch for the firefighters.
Specifications for what the 5-by-4-inch patch should feature include the name “Placentia Fire and Life Safety Department,” and elements that represent the city’s geography or history or a fire theme, according to a city news release.
