Phillip Chen for 55th Assembly District

This November, voters in Assembly District 55, which spans portions of Los Angeles, Orange and San Bernardino counties, will see a rematch of 2016’s electoral contest.
At the time, our editorial board backed Phillip Chen, then a member of the Walnut Valley Unified School District school board, over social worker Gregg Fritchle, concluding that Chen’s background in business and local government would best enable him to represent the 55th District in Sacramento.
