Pedestrian struck, killed running across 5 Freeway in San Juan Capistrano

SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO – A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle and killed Friday night while running across the San Diego (5) Freeway in San Juan Capistrano.
The crash was reported about 8:45 p.m. on the northbound San Diego Freeway at the Junipero Serra Road off-ramp, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Witnesses told the CHP a tall, skinny juvenile, possibly a boy, ran from the right shoulder to the center divider before being struck.
