Pedestrian struck, killed near Irvine Valley College

A pedestrian struck by a vehicle near Irvine Valley College died at the scene of the crash on Tuesday, Nov. 12.
The collision happened near the intersection of Shadow Oaks and Barranca Parkway, Irvine Police Department officials said in a news release. Emergency responders performed CPR on a man, but were unable to save his life.
His identity was not made public Tuesday evening. Further details regarding what might have led up to the crash were not immediately released.
