Pedestrian struck, injured in Costa Mesa

COSTA MESA — A pedestrian suffered serious injuries after being struck by a vehicle at the intersection of 19th Street and Monrovia Avenue the evening of Saturday, Feb. 24, police said.
The collision was reported at about 6:40 p.m. and the injured pedestrian was transported to an area hospital, but was expected to survive, officials said.
No further information was immediately available. The cause of the crash was under investigation.
