Pedestrian on Orange freeway seriously injured after getting hit by SUV

A 49-year-old Vista man was seriously injured after running into the 22 Freeway’s lanes and getting hit by an SUV early Thursday in Orange, authorities said.
It was just before 1 a.m. when the pedestrian ran north on the eastbound 22 lanes west of Main Street, the California Highway Patrol said.
