Pedestrian hit and killed by Amtrak train in Santa Ana

SANTA ANA — A pedestrian was struck by an Amtrak train and killed Wednesday night in Santa Ana.
The victim was struck by Amtrak Train A591 about 9:05 p.m. near the 1100 block of Walnut Street, south of East First Street, between the Santa Ana and Fullerton stations, authorities said.ALERT: Train 591 has encountered a trespasser btwn #Irvine and #SantaAna; all trains stoped through the area; updates to follow
