Orange County’s first Amazon store opens near UCI

Amazon’s first storefront has opened in Orange County.
The quick-serve shop at University Center is geared toward UC Irvine students and the college community.
The 3,150-square-foot brick and mortar space has a counter for fetching packages as well as a wall of self-serve Amazon lockers accessed by a security code, said the Irvine Co., which owns the center.
