Orange County settles former district attorney aide’s claim for $75,000

Parting ways with a top executive in Orange County District Attorney Todd Spitzer’s office has cost the county about $140,000, more than half of which was to settle a filed claim.
Melanie Eustice was named chief of administration of public affairs in January 2019 by the newly elected Spitzer, whom she had worked for since 2014 when he held the Third District supervisor’s seat.
She left in mid-October after a dispute with Spitzer, according to documents provided by the county. Eustice
